Frequently asked questions
It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion. As a small business, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence.
Do we handle repairs for fleets of vehicles?
Yes! Coming from a former fleet background, we have experience managing up to 140 vehicles and trailers!
Are we able to manage parts and purchases needed?
Yes! However in our experience, the fleet owner generally gets a better discount from parts stores and will usually save more money when they order or supply parts. We are more than willing to help you find your parts and tell you what you need to order so the process is simple and cost efficient.
How do we handle Preventative Maintenance schedules?
We work with managers and owners to go through their list of equipment to ensure all preventative maintenence is done at correct intervals per the manufacturers specifications. This is an excellent way to ensure that should your equipment need a warranty claim, you have the service records in place to protect you from paying for major overhauls and repairs.
How is billing handled?
While we appreciate payment after services are rendered, we understand this is hard to do when on a strict budget for a large fleet. For this reason, we also accept Net 30 terms for approved accounts. All checks should be made out to A2B Mobile Repair, LLC.
What are the options for payment?
We accept Cards, Business Checks, EFS Checks, Comdata Checks, Paypal, CashApp, and good ol' cash!
Engines, Injectors, Transmissions policy
While we CAN do these jobs, the field is not the place to do these jobs. Unlevel ground, soft dirt, and unpredictable weather is no place to have engines open exposed to the elements. Engine and injector tolerances can be thrown off by a simple grain of sand or blade of grass. Jacks for transmissions slip easily and will fall unexpectedly on soft ground. For the safety of our mechanics, and to ensure quality engine work for our customers, we recommend using a reputable shop for these major repairs.
Of course, if you have a shop, we're all in!
Business Hours vs After Hours vs Emergency Rates
Normal business hours are from 8:30AM-5:00PM, Monday - Friday, and fall under our normal hourly rate of $150/hour.
After Hours have two different rates scales:
Anything between 5pm and 10pm, Monday - Friday is After Hours at a rate of $180/hour.
Anything after 10pm or on weekends are considered Emergency Rates and are billed based on the job and location. These will be discussed prior to response and agreed on at that time.
Why do we charge hourly vs per job?
Simply put, it is hard to estimate how long a job will actually take. We do not like to quote our customers without first inspecting the job at hand at the very least. If the job is estimated to be 2 hours for example, and then takes 5, our customers will not be too happy with the price increase we originally gave them. Should old bolts or other components break during repairs due to age and wear, this is part of the repair and will have to be addressed.
Do we warranty parts?
The only way parts can be warrantied, is for the customer to buy parts that come with a warranty. We only provide services to install and repair parts and are unable to warranty another manufacturers parts. If a part is found to be defective inside the warranty period, labor is still expected to be paid for any services provided.
